Welcome to The Epiphany School Website

We are a friendly school with a real family feel. We place great emphasis on knowing, caring for and supporting all our children and promote positive relationships based on praise and encouragement within a Christian ethos. Should you need information or policies contained on this website translated the school will be happy to do so.

Governors

The Epiphany School's Board of Governors represent the Parish Church of the Holy Epiphany, Castle Lane West, the Bournemouth Deanery and the Winchester Diocesan Council for Education.

There are elected parent and staff representatives on the Governing Body, as well as the Headteacher.  The Governors are responsible for the appointment of staff and the admission of children.  Allocations are made by the Governors in accordance with the published Admissions Policy. Their responsibilities also include the maintenance of the school buildings.

Meetings of the Governing Body usually take place once every half term.  Parents are invited to look at the agendas, reports and minutes of the meetings.  These may be seen at the school office.

Epiphany School Governors

The Epiphany School Governing Body is made up of 7 Foundation Governors appointed by the Bishop of Winchester, 2 elected parent representatives and 2 staff representatives as well as the Headteacher.

The full Governing Body meets twice a term and is responsible for setting the strategic framework of the school and monitoring its implementation. It acts as a ‘critical friend’ by holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils and also oversees the finances of the school ensuring that public money is well spent. In addition, the Governing Body is responsible for the admission of children to the school in accordance with the published Admissions Policy.
